The symposium includes sharing sessions by several invited eminent keynote speakers and experts who will debate on the key themes, trends and current practices for the audience. The symposium will be held on 8 July 2023 in conjunction with the official launch of the Seremban Diabetes (Sedia) Cohort Study. The symposium will begin with two industry talks on “Diabetes Care: Living in a Techno World” and “Machine-Learning-Based Retinal Image Analysis for Undiagnosed Diabetes and Other Chronic Disease Risk Assessments”. This will follow by Opening Remarks by Professor Dr Abdul Aziz Baba (Vice Chancellor, IMU), Officiating Speech by Dr Zaliha Binti Mustafa (Ministry of Health Malaysia), and keynote address on “Diabetes in Malaysia - Burden and Challenges” by Prof Dato' Dr Mafauzy Mohamed (Senior Consultant Endocrinologist, HUSM). The launching of the Seremban Diabetes (Sedia) Cohort Study will then be officiated by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Yang Di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan in the presence of Minister of Health Dr Zaliha Binti Mustafa.
