Datuk Dr. Zanariah Hussein

Dr. Zanariah Hussein is a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist. She is currently the Head of the Endocrine Unit, Hospital Putrajaya and Head of the Endocrinology Subspecialty Service of the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH). She chairs the MOH endocrine fellowship training program, MOH endocrine drug review committee and Endocrine Subspecialty Subcommittee of the National Specialist Register.

She is active in undergraduate, postgraduate and fellowship teaching and training. She has been involved in the development of local CPGs for diabetes, obesity, thyroid disease, growth hormone therapy, dyslipidemia and CV prevention in women. Her areas of clinical and research interest are diabetes technology, diabetes and ramadan, adrenal and neuroendocrine tumours. She is the Past President of the Malaysian Endocrine and Metabolic Society (MEMS). She is a member of the advisory boards for the National Diabetes Institute (NADI) and Malaysian Diabetes Educator Society (MDES).

SeDia Cohort is established, maintained and governed as a collaborative public-private partnership between the Ministry of Health (MOH), Malaysia and the International Medical University (IMU), Kuala Lumpur. The MOH will be represented by Negeri Sembilan Health Department and Seremban District Health Office.
