Professor Edward Gregg joined Royal College of Surgeon Ireland (RCSI) as the inaugural Chair of School of Population Health in 2022. Before coming to RCSI, he had served as Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health, Imperial College London.
He joined Imperial College in 2019 accompanying a Royal Society Wolfson Fellowship. Prior to coming to Imperial College, he led a multi-disciplinary public health science unit in the Division of Diabetes Translation at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where he championed the role of epidemiology for public health decision-making through diverse disciplines, including population surveillance, effectiveness trials, natural experiments, and health impact modelling. He has particular interests in the factors driving recent trends in the diabetes epidemic and the impact of lifestyle interventions and related health policies on diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and ageing-related outcomes.
SeDia Cohort is established, maintained and governed as a collaborative public-private partnership between the Ministry of Health (MOH), Malaysia and the International Medical University (IMU), Kuala Lumpur. The MOH will be represented by Negeri Sembilan Health Department and Seremban District Health Office.
